The smell of fresh brewed coffee lingering in the air, toys strung among the living room while morning light pours in and you're snuggled up on the couch with your new babe. A moment that feels so simple, almost bordering onto mundane but one that will sit in your memory to cherish. Moments that you will wish you could transport back to and enjoy just one more time when the kids are older. That is the moment I strive to capture.
Home- in all its imperfect beauty
Home, the place you bring your baby. Floorboards that groan, a fridge covered in notes and pictures and walls with marks showing how big littles are becoming. Home is a reflection of us, our lives and our ever changing stories. During our session we not only capture your family but your home as well. The couch that hosted countless movie nights, the bedrooms that started with sweet cribs and kitchens that held the inviting smells of our favourite shared meals.
The original babies
Before the diapers and sleepless nights were our original babies. Our pets. The babies that now transform into cheeky besties that vacuum up food under the highchair and understand that walks are a little bit slower now that you have tiny toddler legs in tow. In our session pets are always encouraged to join.
Siblings
Eager to grab a diaper or help hold baby is big sister or bro. Jumping on the bed, snuggling their well-loved worn stuffy and showing off their most beloved toys makes them excited to be part of the session. Home holds the snacks that keep your little going, the books that keep them busy in between and the comforts that make them happy.
Candid Magic
In-home newborn sessions can be like a time capsule. You capture the little toes that eventually make their way into cleats or ballet shoes. The sweet nursery you spent so much time carefully collecting treasures for. The home you create, that takes different forms in years to come. The photos we take, lock away a time you will want to reminisce and get lost in again. They capture the moments that tend to be forgotten among the blur of newborn chaos.
